I could seem like really kind of led the way tonight as far as the intensity, How would you value got digged early on? How would you evaluate your game tonight? Yeah, my goal was just to come out play as hard as I could. It was a little weird last week for the first time in my career playing a game that doesn't necessarily mean anything in terms of playoff contention.
And I kind of had to check myself and and this week come in with a mindset of every game matters, and and we need to put the best product out there that we can and and that's what I tried to do. Later announced it was a cushion or you looked at they were looking into you pork cushion, but you returned. You did seem taken up right after. You kind of just talked about what happened. Yes, Sam just tried to get in on it and uh caught me.
It was more of like a stinger type thing. But the ref wanted me to go to the tent, so I had to go answer some questions. It was like jammed yeah, and neck your helmet. I know that you've got a sort of a different helmet helped you. And yeah, maybe when it hits the top like that, it's not as good. But I like these guys eleven months ago kind of crushed their dreams. Do you get the sense they're kind of a different team or and also that they this was a very important game for them to win.
I don't think they're that different. I think they've had a ton of injuries on defense, which hurts them. But the mentality of the head coach, you could see it throughout everybody. It's really a cool team. I could just see from Afar that it's probably a fun team to play for. And they they come out and they play to win every game, and I respect that. I've put so much emphasis on the ball, all meetings and takeaways, and I think you got twos supply week. Is there
any accounting for that? I mean, is there's so many different things that go into eternal and take away. It goes into every level of the defense. When you have your opportunity. I know we had two against Stafford that could have made I mean if maybe if we get those, it sparks a bunch of other ones. So you just have to make your make your plays when they're there, and then just being be in the right spots and I don't think we've done a great job of that
this year. All bro, did you want that matchup? Would you? Would you think about that matchup? It's good. He's a really good player, and yeah, I wanted to see where I'm at against him. Have you ever seen anything like the Jamison Williams touchdown or just pop back to him and you've seen something like that. I was in the tent, so I had no idea that happened. There was a play in this game. I'm kind of a misdirection sprinted all the way across the field to make the play.
Did you see the play? And do you think it was? It? The one Gibbs cut back. Yeah, I had like a ten yard cushion and he ran by me like I was didn't exist, and I tried to sprint and I was just like I don't have this, and thankfully Mustafa is a heat seeking missile and when he made the play. So mindset was what was your mindset against Miami? I mean indicated, I mean I think we came in with
the right mindset as a team. Just myself, it felt a little like dead energy wise, but yeah, it was a learning a moment for me to look and make sure that I come in with the right mindset every single week. It seems like there's there's a lot of plays where you guys get to the pills, pass breakups, and it'll be like a couple of plays in a row and then there was an explosive allowed. we did. We did get them to second third lungs and then yeah, they would make a big play and you definitely want to capitalize when you when you back them up like that, and we didn't do that tonight. And that's why they scored forty points. I'm sure, Yeah, I'm sure.
