On the night of August 21, 2015, the quiet at Khar PoliceStation in Mumbai was shattered by an urgent tip-off. A caller reported that a man was roaming nearby with illegal weapons. Acting quickly, a police team rushed to the location and spotted the man. The moment he saw them, it seemedlike he might run, but the officers closed in before he could escape. At first, it appeared to be a routine case of arms possession. But during questioning, the man repeated one chilling line: “My madam killed her daughter. I had nothing to do with it.” The statement left the officers stunned. Who was this man? Who was the “madam” he spoke of? And which daughter had been killed? These questions marked the beginning of one of Mumbai’s most shocking investigations— the case of Sheena Bora’s disappearance.
