Welcome to 24 Minutes of A24, the weekly podcast that reviews the A24 library of films, 24 minutes at a time! Hosted by Ben Lawhorn of Three Films and a Podcast and Ethan Simmie of 15 Minutes of Marvel, this podcast gives you the best A24 content in the podcasting world.
What better way to kick off the show than with one of, if not the single, greatest A24 film? Ben and Ethan review the one and only Uncut Gems, the frantic 2019 masterpiece written and directed by the Safdie brothers! The guys talk about their experience seeing the film in theaters for the first time and try to figure out if we failed as a society by not giving the Sandman an Oscar.
Each show of the podcast will follow a general layout of reviewing the movie at hand, with True Cinema! being our favorite moment or scene from the film, A1 Act taking a look at tons of different aspects of the film and determining if this is their "A1 Act", and an A24 ranking in which we use A24 titles to rank our affection for a film.
