Taylor, a Los Angeles police officer, is recovering after he was shot while attempting to question a suspect on Saturday.
A short foot pursuit.
During that time, the suspect turned and fired rounds at our officers.
One of our officers was struck. The other officer turned fire.
Chief Jim McDonnell said he's thankful the situation did not turn deadly. The officer who was shot was taken to the hospital, but his injuries are described as non life threatening. The American Academy of Dermatology is offering tips to protect against summer sun damage, which can cause sunburn, brown spots, wrinkles, and skin cancer. It starts with sunscreen, which should be
applied fifteen minutes before heading outside. The Academy recommends that your sunscreen have an SPF of thirty or higher and be water resistant. It should also offer broad spectrum protection against harmful UV rays. Dermatologists also say not to forget those ears, your hands, and the tops of your feet when applying sunscreen.
