Check, check, and check. This is the two seventeen Recovery podcast with Corey Winfield. You know, as as soon as he gives it to her, he's gonna give her his heart to her too, and we have kids and getting married. That's too far. It is the two seventeen Recovery podcasts. From the Road is the eight May twenty three. My name is Cory Winfield. Tyrone, yeah, Tyrone, And this is the two seventeen recovery podcasting. Carney and Justin are here with me as well. We are at

the NMRI Day of Recovery Education and it's in gay Lord. You know, I didn't say gay Lord. You know a lot of people if I were say somebody, hey, let's go to gay Lord, and they didn't know where it was at. And I gave him directions like, no, go down here, you know, just get off on exit twenty two. You put in your phone, just look for you know, Gaylord Michigan. They'd be like, well, there's no Gaylord Michigan. There's gay Lord. And I was like, oh, yeah, that's what I meant, because that's

that's how it felt. So that's what you should say. But that's just here and over there, um, this is the day of recovery education here, and we heard a couple of speakers. Tyrone, what was your you had an emergency? Actually, let's talk about that before we're talking about the speaker. What ha happened? We were eating breakfast, listening to people speak, and then I looked over and you were gone, oh yeah, coughing, oh your coffin. Yeah yeah yeah, I sometimes yeah, gotta be

careful with it. But at least you excuse yourself, you know. Oh yea, oh yeah, that's a polite day to do once. Yeah, yeah, but all it's all good. I also want to point out that I'm on one side of the hallway and Tyrone is on the other side of the hallway. Very very unconventional way to do a podcast. Normally, you do a podcast and your person who're doing it with us sitting next to you thinking hear you, No, no, no, still there, Tyrone.

You're in a nice comfortable chair. I'm on this side of the hall. You're on that side of the hall, and you're sitting by the mcbat people. There's very very important people in know, Tyrone. If you need your your credentials, you need your licensing stuff, that's the people that do it. Okay, Hey, that's a Tyrone's intert. Yeah, introduce yourself. Yeah, yeah, good, good folks. They do great work and they keep everybody accountable, which is good. A lot of accountability, you know,

and recover industry and that's that's that's good. You know, you didn't want people out here willy nilly and it, you know, opening up recovery houses, telling people's recovery home and it's certified when it's not, you know, not that we've every Hey what was the name of that one house? Tyrone? I can't remember now anyway, So let let's go back to the speakers. Well, you were there, but you would kind of missed out. Did you hear Carrie? I heard carry very well. She she talked

about her kids. She had to put four kids, five five five kids. Yeah, she had a little one outside. I did a little little one about win Yo. So she was living in a tent and you know, she's been through hell. A lot of people they get to that point of and she even said it in her speech, where they think they've hit rock bottom and they're not even done yet, not even close, and it's always a shovel in that basement that they can keep digging that hole deeper if

you want. And there's places that we've been in our lives, um where we just thought it can't get worse, and then it does. But if you look at where you're at and you kind of accept where you're at and you don't want to be there anymore, you know, you can kind of pull yourself out of it. And that's that's something that you did, Tyrone. Yeah, you know, Winfield, you kind of get tired of being tired. You know, it's it's better things than giving out in the woods

or outside. It's it's you. You have to make a change. Oh you gotta get this phone. Oh okay, well Tyrone thinks I'm gonna get them. Yeah, yeah, passing out to Justin. Yeah, I'm gonna pass it to Justin. Yeah. Well now Justin's talking, so we'll just listening to Justin's conversation. So now all right, Tyrone, tell them,

tell them you'll pay them tomorrow. That's what I always tell them. No, So now we're unconventionally doing a podcast with Justin, who was sitting next to Tyrone, which is again as across the hallway, but now it's even better because I can't see Justin really, so this would be a very interesting podcast Justin. How are you doing today? We're doing great. For We're different than the last time I talked to you, Yes, very much. So. Yeah, but we're not gonna go into all that right now.

Um. Did you notice that the speakers that we're speaking today were totally totally different styles? Yeah, because this is something that you know you're gonna want to do one day, you know, talk to people and you go to the treatment started with me on tuesdays a week talk and you know, to kind of get you familiar with it. But yeah, there was there's two different styles. Um. Tom, he had the stuff kind of written down what he wanted to do, but quickly he was thrown off. This is

what he told me outside. He was he was thrown off and he's like, all right, I'm just gonna wing it at this point, you know, And I think that that was a good strategy for him. Or Carrie. Her stuff was well written, you know, she kind of moved it along. Her pacing was great. There wasn't a lot of us and arms and you know, but they were both really good. I enjoy both of the speakers today. Yeah, so did I they I used to work with Carrie and Tom was a blast to listen to his story. Yeah, well

that's good. Thanks, Justin welcome. No, I don't know a sideline reporter from across the hall, you know, they asked him. They said that Grayson who works for them Stats. She was supposed to host the and she she does the training for recovery coaches up in the Michigan for them Stats. And she was supposed to host the panel discussion with a bunch of recovery coaches. And I guess she has to leave or she won't be here for it. So I was asked, Hey, Corey, will you do it?

Amazing? I say, yeah, but I'm gonna switch it like my man, Justin's gonna do get up here Justin. No, no, no, she like, now you wouldn't like that, Okay, I won't do that. Then, No yet, No, I'll do that. I thought that was kind of cool they would ask me even, you know, and that was really cool talk about it. But I think I can wing it. You know what, am I gonna do? Make an ass of myself? Right? I do that? At the time. I doubt that.

No, you just kind of get to that space where you just like, yeah, that's fine, but no, it's an honor though to do that for them, and you know the step on where I can see that might be one day they'm like justin you're on the podcast sometimes you know, you get up there and speak, you know, and you're gonna be like I'd be like, oh older, like Darren Headlights. Yeah, we should, we should do videos, start doing videos. And I need to do your

video again anyway, which we'll do probably this week. How about that sounds great? Okay, yeah, to do your video again because the video I did at first you I think you were the first recovery spotlight video and I don't know after we did that on the phone, I can't remember. Yeah,

your phone. Yeah, but now we got cameras and stuff, so the qualitio looks so much better, and even the audio will be a lot better because I have some really cool mics and sweet, we'll do that and maybe we'll also do some kind of exercises or I don't know, some videos for the for the web, not long ones, but maybe like just two minute videos of you're saying something there. Yeah, I think it's used to talking sounds great. I can't wait to look on Justin's face right now.

You can't see it, but he is so excited. He's just he really can't wait for these videos. In our video campaign to hit the hit the scene, hit the market. So I got back it up now. I said it right right, I said, we gotta back it up. So you gotta do it. Yeah, if you're gonna commit to something, you gotta do it. And I just admitted us to it, Justin. You, I committed to it, and I committed myself to it. So we're doing it. We're gonna do it this week. But I appreciate your willingness

to even be on this process of the Room Hallway podcast. I think I don't know Tyrone just left. That lady looks familiar. I don't know why. But anyway, Justin, thanks for joining me on the podcast. Welcome. We'll get back to this recovery education day with Na Murray. We'll appreciate them having us out and Arnie's talking to people about cool stuff we're doing with recovery coaching services, so that's nice. But Hi, Justin, thanks for joining me and we'll talk later. Thank you,
