Episode description

We all know we're being watched by the government anytime we open a browser or an app on our phones, but at least the US government has some good actors who try and prevent big tech from invading our lives even more. Not so much in China. WeChat was built with Chinese government funding and has every right to surveille, analyze, and intercept all WeChat data. They are technically owned by Tencent, a massive, complicated, techno-empire that seems to be pursuing total digital domination the world over. Unfortunately, no one seems to be surprised by this and has accepted their new Chinese overlords!
