Racism in the Workplace, with guest Jasmine

Jasmine had worked as a Massage Therapist in spas before starting up her own mobile practice. She mentioned to us that when she was employed at the spa, she had more than one encounter with a patient who didn’t want to be treated by her because she is a black therapist. We invited Jasmine in to speak about her experiences with racist patients, how she handles the situation, how the spa handles it and could handle it, and how Jasmine reacted to the experiences. It’s sad that the conversation has to happen but we cannot stop talking about important issues until they aren’t issues anymore. But of course, in true 2 RMTs and a mic fashion, the three of us had some fun even while discussing a heavy topic.
