Rick and Morty season five is coming this June, y'all! Plus, the trailers for "Spiral: The Book of Saw" and "The Suicide Squad" dropped and we got a lot of enjoyment out of those, Justin read some comics he didn't like and we dive DEEP into this week's episode of "The Falcon and The Winter Soldier"
We have a few things outside our two big topics this week, like comics and toys and Godzilla, but we know what you're here for. "Zack Snyder's Justice League" and "The Falcon and The Winter Soldier" dropped back to back and we are here to talk about those!
First off, this episode had a lot of editing done to it because Matt's recording was weird, so parts may sound odd or skip. Deal with it! Now that that's out of the way: we talk about the usual fun of toys and comics, Matt watched "Return To Oz" for the very first time, we mull over the "South ParQ Vaccination Special" and end up talking about kaiju.
Justin read some comics he really liked, Matt is starting to learn Klingon, and we spend most of our time going over the series finale of WandaVision.
This episode has a lot of random stuff to kick it off like Justin reading the Marvel comic where everyone has swords, chat about "The Eternals" and other stuff, and it ends with other random stuff. The real meat of the episode, though, is our discussion about the most recent episode of "WandaVision" where you get to hear Matt almost cry. So get ready!
Hi, all! This is Matt. I can't really remember what we talked about besides WandaVision and the South Park Vaccination Special. Pretty sure I talk about watching the old cartooon "The Batman" and Justin mentions he picked up his pull list. Listen and find out.
Before we dive into how "WandaVision" keeps proving us wrong, we talk about Justin watching "Willy's Wonderland", Matt reading Superman comics and watching "Fairly Oddparents" and a few other bits and bobs. Then once we're done with "WandaVision" we move on to things like Godzilla, Gina Carano and "Tom and Jerry".
We get the show started with a bit of what we have been doing this week. Matt caved and is watching the second season of "Titans", but is he enjoying it? Justin watched some more "Batman: The Animated Series". Then we talk about the first trailer for "Falcon and the Winter Solider" before we move on to this week's episode of "WandaVision".
As the title says, this episode is pretty comic heavy. We talk about the love we have for the "unlimited" apps provided by both DC and Marvel and the doors they open for us to explore stories we never would have before. Then we move on to the most recent, stellar episode of "WandaVision". Then, of course, we talk about Pops. Then more comics.
The big news of the week is the first trailer for "Godzilla vs Kong" which is just awesome! Plus, Justin got some free stuff which leads us to talk about, of course, toys. And this week's episode of "WandaVision" is discussed at a decent length.

Just another week of not a whole lot of news stuff, but we do briefly touch on the news of "Deadpool 3" and Miles Morales getting his own Clone Saga. We also talk about "Batman: The Animated Series", "Star Trek: Discovery", and the weirdest kid's show ever made.
The first show of the new year is here, and it isn't all that exciting, actually. Nothing happens between Christmas and New Year! But, despite that, Justin read some comics and is quickly learning to love digital comics. Matt has been hips deep in "Star Trek: Discovery". Justin made a questionable financial decision. And other stuff, probably.
After a brief holiday break, our heroes are back to ramble and laugh and be overall nerdy. Justin watched the new Pixar movie, "Soul", both the geeks watched "Wonder Woman 84", they discuss the final episode of season two of "The Mandalorian".

In this holiday crossover bonus episode, Matt is joined by his Christmas loving pals Andy and Michael from the Real Fans For Real Movies Podcast to look back at Netflix's 2018 film "The Christmas Chronicles" before they head over to RF4RM to talk about the newest adventure of Kurt Russel as Santa in this year's "The Christmas Chronicles, Part 2".
"Wonder Woman 1984" is hitting theaters and HBO Max Christmas Day. The new "Animaniacs" absolutely crushes it with the social and political satire. "The Mandalorian" is setting up something big. Justin jogs Matt's memory about the old Japanese Spider-Man show. Other antics.
Justin met a family of people who listen to us. Matt is falling deeply in love with "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine". This week's episode of "The Mandalorian" was full of cool Easter eggs. We ramble about people we would love to talk to. X-Men with Swords?
Our heroes hung out in person and (what else?) bought toys. Justin watched one of the worst movies ever made. Matt realized a "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" character is the thirstiest Trek character ever. "The Mandalorian" had its second episode. Both our boys need to get back to reading comics.
After a break because nothing happened last week, we're back because "The Mandalorian" is back! Also, Matt runs down all the spooky movies he watched over Halloween season, Justin is set to celebrate Thanksgiving season with kaiju movies and "Tiny Toons" announced a comeback, which leads us down a rabbit hole of what other shows we would like to come back.
There really isn't a whole hell of a lot to discuss this week beyond the season finale of "Lovecraft Country" but we also talk a lot about horror movies. Doesn't COVID know it's shutting down all the stuff we normally talk about and we really need it to back off?
The episode actually starts with a discussion of horror flicks: Trick 'r Treat, Evil Dead, and a few others. Eventually we get to the frustration we feel at how the entire season of "Lovecraft Country" seems to have too much going on to wrap up effectively in one episode. Plenty of our other typical shenanigans are peppered throughout.
We start the show by jumping right into South Park's Pandemic Special, which just floored us with how funny it was. Then we talk about the latest episode of "Lovecraft Country" and the little bit of news that happened this week.
The show opens with Justin telling Matt about the existence of the game "House Party" then moves on some news about the casting of Hawkman, what horror movies we've been watching, a recap of this week's "Lovecraft Country" and more.
Man, it was a pretty eventful week. South Park is going to be having a pandemic special. WandaVision had its first official trailer. Lovecraft Country was so damn good. Matt remembers a funny story about Justin and a very full porta-potty.
Wonder Woman '84 moved. Again. At this point we'll believe it's coming out when it's out. Toy scalpers are the worst. We are full into spooky season even though it's barely into September. We watched the latest episode of Lovecraft Country.
Lovecraft Country and other stuff. This week really was super uneventful. But, this is 2 Broke Geeks. We made it work. Just don't expect the best episode ever.
Well, 2020 continues to be a bad year and this time it struck down one of the best, Chadwick Boseman is gone. We two white guys speak as best we can on his legacy, but really want you to seek out podcasts by folks who can speak on it better. Then we move on to other, lighter topics, including another one we aren't really 100% qualified to talk about: Lovecraft Country.
The first ever DC FanDome online convention happened and, man, it brought the jams! In this episode we talk about everything good and happy it gave us: a new look at "Wonder Woman 1984", two new video games, a little look at "The Suicide Squad" and, most importantly, "The Batman"!
