Why do we assume our modern day tzitzis/tallis functions as clothing? Wouldn't it be preferable to wear tzitzis as an undershirt? If one is not getting benefit from the begged, or even worse it makes him uncomfortable, is it really necessary to still wear tzitzis? Playing ball, exercising, sitting in the sun.
