Episode description

In this episode, we discuss the all too familiar story of a black footballer, Vinicius Jr, being racially abused by an opposition team's fans in Spain.

We dive into what sanctions should exist to drive this out of the stadiums and in doing so, we explore whether it's a wider societal problem in both Spain and other European countries.

Although the incident happened a few weeks back, the issue is sadly not going away anytime soon.

It's so appalling that we still need to be having these conversations in 2023, but overt racism still exists in plain light and there is so much work is still to do.

And if you think it's just isolated to football, think again. It's just that 'the beautiful game' is under the spotlights of TV.

We hope you're sitting comfortably because it's about to get uncomfortable...
