Episode description

In this episode of 1050 Bascom, we were excited to collaborate with the La Follette School of Public Affairs to interview Lauren Schmitz, Professor of Public Affairs to talk about her work on the intersection of public policy and human genetics. Her research uses social, genomic, and epigenomic data to examine how inequalities in the social environment shape disparities in people’s health, education and socioeconomic outcomes. We enjoyed our conversation with Prof. Schmitz, and learned so much.
