Episode description

In this episode of 1050 Bascom, we were grateful to have the opportunity to speak with Prof. Adeline Lo who joined the UW-Madison Political Science Department last fall. Prof. Lo shared with us her academic pathway from a BA in Politics and Economics at Columbia University to an MA in Politics at NYU and a Ph.D. in Political Science at the University of California, San Diego. Prof. Lo’s published work on refugees and how empathy and information impact public support has received international attention. Prof. Lo is currently working on several projects including one that seeks to improve statistical methods to study political violence, and another that examines public attitudes toward refugees in Covid-19. We enjoyed our conversation with Prof. Lo, and hope you will too.
