DIFFERENCE MAKER: Donna Prescott 1.29.20

Donna moved to Brooklyn from  St. Lucia and began working with her aunt in salon since she was 16. She says shes always felt at home in a salon and working in beautifying others was therapeutic for her. 

Recently her mother had a personal health issue which caused her to lose all her hair and got Donna into doing research for non-surgical ways to help her mother deal with these.She says seeing her mother go through this  experience is what inspired her to want to help other women in similar situations.

She sees how something as simple as making a wig for someone with no hair, or giving a make over to someone can shed some light and positivity into their lives and make them feel beautiful again, like a woman again, like a person again. 

She launched the free 'Beauty Day'- where every month this year she will offer her services and treat a woman going through an illness or situation like her mothers, with a spa day consisting of facial, makeup, hair done (complimentary wig if needed)
