Episode description

This week Lewis and Ian are enthralled by possibly the world’s slowest paced thriller, 2005’s Hidden. The 101 boys wax lyrical about the way the director Michael Haneke builds a creeping sense of unease through the use of long, lingering takes, the great performances by Daniel Auteuil and Juliette Binoche and how cruel the aging process is when you compare what Annie Girardot looked like in the film to her photo on IMDB. Yep, the usual nonsense. Music credit: Gaslamp Funworks by Kevin MacLeod CC BY 3.0.
