19-04-2023 Into the Light - 10 Minutes with Jesus

Today's gospel (John 3:16-21) gives us what is perhaps the most known verse of all the gospels, those famous words of John 3:16: “For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but might have eternal life.” Jesus then explains that salvation is linked to faith but faith is linked to sincerity, the willingness to be honest with ourselves and open to God and others. Whereas those who do evil ‘prefer darkness’, those who do good are ready to ‘come out into the light’. Let's examine ourselves to see if we really are as sincere, as open to the light, as we should be.
