Episode description

Self-texting is therapeutic. Sit down and text yourself when your emotions are running high or when you need to express yourself without worrying about how it will make someone else feel. When you send the text to yourself (instead of the original intended recipient), you get the opportunity to not only say what you need to say but to also press send! Then, when you receive the text, you have the time to read it and consider how the words sound. You get the space to cool off and be more thoughtful about how you communicate. Sometimes you might decide that these words do not serve you—sometimes you want to use other ones. And sometimes, you realize that you don’t need to send anything at all. Self-texting is an easy way to create less drama in our lives!
