False compassion, zeal without knowledge

Excerpt:
The most precious things in life are worth defending. Compassion is God’s gift to our fallen world, so it must be guarded. We must keep our eye on the ball. Counterfeits always devalue the genuine, and this isn’t just true of currency and paintings. It’s also true of moral virtues. False compassion is always an attack upon true compassion.

It’s the same with zeal. By nature, prophets specialize in the clamor of high dudgeon. Claiming they’ve received their words directly from God’s mouth and Word, zeal is their tool of trade, and now the world is as full of false zeal as it is of false prophets.
