It is verdict with center, Ted Cruz, Ben Ferguson with you, and Senator let's start with the big news. It is the red carpet welcome to the communists from China, Jijingping. He came to America and boy did we clean up the world for him in San Francisco and literally gave him a red carpet welcoming. This is the present, told being it's time, it's good to see you again.
And he also said something else.
It was incredibly shocking, and I want to get your take on it. He said this at the table at their first meeting. Sitting to his left was Janet Yellen. Sitting to his right was Anthony Blincoln. At that table, you had John carry down at one end as well. It was the full Biden you know, red carpet welcome. And here's what he said.
We also have a responsibility to our people and in the world to work together when we see it in our interest to do so.
Okay, we also have responsibility to our people and to the world to work together.
Is that true?
No, of course it's not. And listen that this was a sad meeting. It was a meeting of capitulation. This was by any measure, it was a meeting of the world's most powerful communist and the president of China.
You look at them meeting, and you see this happening in us rolling out the red carpet for him. Look at the past here, and let's just go through some of these since he's taken office. Biden allowed a Chinese spy balloon to survey our entire country, knowing what it was doing, spying on us, and refused to shoot it down until after it already completed its mission. Biden resumed funding for the World Health Organization despite China's significant influence.
And then, just to put in perspective, Biden bought one point three billion, not million, but billion dollars in Chinese made COVID tests and then gave them to Americans. On top of the fact that Biden let China build secret spying facilities in nearby countries that could survey America. And that's just the beginning of the list that's been all for China, nothing to protect America.
Well, listen, there's a fundamental problem, which is Joe Biden and the Democrat Party are structurally pro China. But in the book, I explained the reason the Democrat Party is so indebted to China is every one of their major stakeholders, big business, big tech, big Hollywood, big universities, all of them are
in bed with China, and so Joe Biden. Joe Biden is spent literally fifty years in Washington as an apologist for the Chinese communists, defending them, saying, come on, man, there are friends. They're not our enemies. There are friends. He's been saying that for fifty years. So look, you mentioned a minute ago been the Chinese spibulon the Chinese spibulin number one. We would never have known about that if some intrepid ranchers in Montana hadn't looked up and
seen the damn thing in the sky. That's the only reason we know about it. It was literally a couple of guys in Montana that had telescopes that said, what the hell is that? And they tweeted about it, and suddenly the Biden Administration's like, oh crap, the Chinese are surveilling our military installations are engaging in espionage over the United States. Don't mind you. They didn't shoot it down
when it entered US airspace. They allowed it to cross US airspace, they allowed it to hover over US military installation, they allowed it to engage in ongoing espionage and surveillance. And it was only after it had crossed the entire continental United States that had crossed in the Atlantic Ocean. Then they shot it down after its mission was over, after it had broadcast all of the espionage back to China. Then they shut it down as a PR move. And
then it got really ridiculous. If you remember, the Biden administration proceeded to shoot several other things down, including what appears to be a weather balloon launched by a bunch of high school students in Illinois. So we spent presumably one hundred thousand dollars missile to knock down a one hundred dollars balloon. That's the Biden administration. And the reason is, look, this was about politics and PR It was not about
standing up to China. And so when Biden went to San Francisco, he does not have an objective of defending our nation from our most significant enemy. One of the things I discussed in the book Unwoke is how when I arrived in the Senate eleven years ago, I was arguing then that China poses the greatest geopolitical threat to the United States for the next century, that this is a massive battle, and we need to come together and understand. China is waging a thousand year war. Their objective is
complete geopolitical domination. And right now the Biden administration not only as not opposed to that, they're supporting that, they're emphatically in bed with China. And we need to get serious. And by the way, when I got here in twenty thirteen, my view is a wild minority view. All of the Democrats disagreed with me, and most of the Republicans disagreed with me. They frankly, they looked at China. They saw nothing but dollar signs as far as the eye could see.
They just saw lots and lots of money. And at this point, we have seen China number one, engage in systematic murder torture. They have concentration camps with over one million kures in slave labor. They engage at espionage, they engage in theft at a global level. In a way that's never been happened before. Look, espionage and theft has always been part of human relations, but we've never had a nation state with trillions of dollars of GDP investing
in stealing the intellectual property of the United States. That that is a new dynamic. And none of that even takes into account China's incredible culpability with the COVID virus. I believe the overwhelming weight of the evidence suggests that the COVID virus escaped from the Wuhan Institute of Virology,
and I think the majority of the evidence. I don't think it is as compelling, but I think it is more likely than not that the virus was manufactured by the Chinese government in that land, That they took existing coronaviruses, that they modified them using gain of function research. They made the more transmissible, they made the more deadly, they made the more dangerous for humans, and then it was
released from the Wuhana Institute Virology. That means, and then after that happened, it is undisputed that China covered it up. They disappeared the whistleblowers, they disappeared the doctors, they hid the break of COVID nineteen and on any level, China bears enormous culpability for the millions of deaths that came from COVID, from the trillions of dollars of economic damage
that came from COVID. And you know what, Joe Biden didn't say a damn word about any of that when he sat down with she in San Francisco.
Yeah.
One of the things when he said down with him is this idea. And you could see it in the Democrats. They were really pushing this idea center that we needed a grand reset with China. We need to open back up relations where we're talking with them, or their military is talking with our military, and this is all about a grand reset. Did we really need a grand reset with China?
Look, grand reset is the favorite approach of the Democrats. You'll recall Hillary Clinton when she was Secretary of State, she engaged in a quote grand reset with Russia. In fact, she went over and she met with Lavrov, the Foreign Minister of Russia, with a big red button. It was very theatrical, but their idea was mean. Old Republicans viewed Russia as our enemy. We now know Russia is our friend.
By the way, remember the debate in twenty twelve. You and I both watched them between Obama and Mitt Romney, where Mitt Romney was saying in twenty twelve that he saw Russia as an enormous geopolitical threat. You remember what Barack Obama said in response to that.
Yeah, he said, with the Cold War is over, they're calling for the talking points back and calmed down.
Yeah. He looked at Mitt and he said, the nineteen eighties are calling they want their talking points back. Yeah. And it was this smug liberal sense that Russia is now our friend and we're going to have a grand reset with Russia. Mind you, we're in the middle of friggin war in Ukraine that Biden caused because of his weakness. They now describe Putin as the modern day Hitler. And yet these imbeciles did a grand reset a decade ago. That's the Democrat Party. So now their grand reset is
with China. Never mind that China is unambiguously hostile to America. They wanted to feed America, they wanted to displace US as the world's economic superpower. They want to displace US militarily. They want to dominate the United States of America. And yet Democrats say that is hunky dory. We are all in with communist China.

Well, let's talk about Ping coming to this country and the symbolism of that. I mean, this was important. I think for him, he wanted to come here. I'm sure he's laughing in their meetings, going wow, we exported COVID and really hurt financially America. Interest rates are up, we have a lot of their debt.
They're paying us even more money. And now we're walking off the plane to this red carpet welcome. What does this do to embolden him, especially on the issue of Taiwan.
Look on Taiwan. She has got to feel incredibly encouraged. He looks at Joe Biden Number one. Any enemy of America that sits down with Joe Biden recognizes this man is too old, his mental capacity is not there. He is not an effective commander in chief. There is a reason the world has gone to hell in a handbasket. Think about it. Two and a half years ago, Joe Biden came into the White House. He inherited peace and prosperity. The world was in very good shape. We now have
two simultaneous wars. We have the biggest war in Europe since World War II and simultaneously the worst war in the Middle East in fifty years. That's what happens when the US commander in chief is weak and and effective, and nobody is afraid of him, nobody thinks he's credible, nobody thinks he will follow through on anything. And she is looking at that saying, there has never been a better time in the history of the universe for China
to invade Taiwan than right now today. And the fact that Joe Biden welcomes she to China and basically bends down and kisses his ass that.
You know.
It's something on foreign policy that is counterintuitive. Where people think strength, some people on the media's democrats think strength make it more likely to go to war. It's actually the exact opposite weakness makes war most likely. I hate war. I am someone who is extremely, extremely reluctant to send US servicemen and women into combat. Yesterday I had the great privilege I sat down with about twenty twenty five West Point cadets who came to visit me in my office,
something I've done several years in a row. And I love meeting with these young men and women who signed up to defend our nation. They're incredible scholars and leaders and athletes. They have character, and we talked. We had a good hour hour and a half conversation, but we talked about, among other things, foreign policy. And I said, look, I consider myself a non interventionist. Talk I think you should be very reluctant to send US servicemen and women
into harm's way. But the way you prevent war is you're strong enough that nobody wants to screw with you. Joe Biden is embodying the opposite of that, which is he is so weak, he's so ineffective that every enemy of America is in bolden. I've joked before there is a reason nobody studies at the Neville Chamberlain School of Foreign Airs. Appeasement doesn't work. Just this week, Biden announced billions more for Iran. Iran fun Samas, trains the Hamas terrorists,
sends them into Israel, commits horrific acts of terror. And what is Biden said here? I have a few billion more That is truly stunning. And so she is looking at this saying, hey, I don't think she has a tiniest bit of concern about what Biden would do if he invaded Taiwan and China. Innovading Taiwan would be absolutely catastrophic for the US economy and US national security, because, among other things, we are profoundly dependent upon Taiwan and
China for advanced semiconductors. Advanced semiconductors are used in just about every electronics we use, from our cell phones to our cars, to our trucks, to our planes, to our military weapons to missiles, and and just about every device of modern life uses advanced semiconductors. And if China invades Taiwan, the US economy and the US military is in a stranglehold of China. And I got to say, every time Biden shows weakness to China, the chances of that go up dramatically.
Let's talk about the possibility of the Biden's being compromised. If you look at the list, and this list, I do want to go through it because I think it's really important. It doesn't sound like this is a list that a normal president would allow to happen under his watch. I mentioned a few of these earlier, but I want to start the very beginning again. Biden allowed the Chinese
by balloon to have surveillance of our entire country. He resumed the funding for the World Health Organization despite China's massively influence. Biden brought one point three billion dollars, bought one point three billion, and Chinese made COVID tests and then gave them to the Americans with our tax dollars. He let Chining to build these secret spying facilities in nearby countries. He reversed in order to limit the Chinese spyware app TikTok. That was honestly shocking. He missed the
deadline to declassify intel on the Wuhan lab. And I want to also ask you specifically about that in a moment, so let's put an asterisk by that. Biden also told a rum of Democrat donors, don't worry about China, Biden said repeatedly, the US does not want to decouple from China, and Biden admitted he doesn't want to contain China either,
especially when it comes to the issue of Taiwan. Biden ignored Chinese hackers breaching the email accounts of senior US government officials and did not basically go after China or warned them any capacity that wasn't meaningful, and then Biden
declared he's not concerned about China yet again. Now you put all that together under the last two and a half years of this man's presidency, and then you put it side by side with the business dealings of Biden crime family directly with these people in China and these companies connected the Chinese Communist Party and those that are even connected to the Chinese intelligence apparatus, a spying apparatus
of the Chinese Communist Party. Is some of this actually as simplistic as it looks that, hey, this guy may be compromised by the Chinese.
So look, I think it's both. There is serious evidence of corruption from Communist China that millions of dollars flowed to Hunter Biden, to Joe Biden, to the Biden crime family. That is an enormous problem, and it does compromise the president. I believe there also is a second component that again millions of dollars flowed to University of Pennsylvania to create the Biden Center there when Biden was there to get a cushy job post vice presidency. Again, I think that
compromises President Biden. But the truth of the matter is, I think he'd do all of this garbage if he hadn't made a penny from China, because I think ideologically he is pro China. Illogically he is in bed with China, and so he is someone who has been wrong on every foreign policy issue of the last fifty years. He systematically and consistently wrong. When he sees an enemy, his instinct is appease the enemy. When he sees someone who hates America, his instinct is be nice to them, give
them what they want. And let me say something else about this meeting in San Francisco. So we're watching Biden meeting with She and San Francisco. I gotta say, Ben, I am pissed at how they treated this meeting, and in particular that they cleaned up the San Francisco streets. They cleaned up the homeless people, they cleaned up the criminals, they cleaned up the drug users. So a week ago, the San Francisco public streets were filled with homeless people,
They were filled with criminals. They were filled with drug users injecting drugs just sitting in broad deadlight. They were filled with people defecating in the streets. In fact, there's an app in San Francisco called poop Fine to report human feces on public streets.
You literally, by the way, can't make that out. That's unbelievable.
It's the bizarre reality we live in. And Democrat politicians have been telling the people of San Francisco for years there's nothing we can do about it. We can't fix homelessness, we can't fix crime, we can't fix drug use. We are helpless. Well, you know what, Suddenly the president of China shows up in holy crap, They clear all these people off the streets. They clean up. They literally clean up the shit like that is not hyperbole. They clean
up the streets. They make them spick and span. They're sparkling. And I got to say, let me ask you something. Man. Let's assume you're a San Francisco resident, let's assume, Okay, you live in San Francisco, so you're a lefty, you're a liberal Democrat. But you've been living with this, this crime, this homelessness, this drug use. Your kids have been watching this filth, and you've been told we can't fix it,
we can't fix it, we can't fix it. And then suddenly the head of the Communist Party of China shows up in boom, It's all magically fixed. How would you not be pissed off? Why exactly is it that the Democrats will do this for she out of China but will not do it for the Americans who live in San Francisco. What does this say about the broken policies, the woke policies, the radical left? How it all is a croc They know how to fix these things, they're just not willing to and.
They can fix it the matter days. By the way, days they were able to clean up an entire city. That's impressive.
And by the way, there's a pattern. So this is not the first time this has happened. When Joe Biden came to El Passo for his vaunted trip to the border, yeah it'll pass up. Yeah, there were illegal aliens all over the streets. It's a crisis. The city is being swarmed by illegal immigration. But when Joe Biden came, they removed all the illegal immigrants from the street. And in fact, the Biden White House said Biden did not see a
single illegal immigrant. And there's a cynicism to this, which is and this is something we've talked about a lot, that I've talked about in my new book, Unwoke, which which is the cultural Marxist Their policies are wildly unpopular. Normal people do not support open borders, don't support abolishing the police, they don't support rampant crime. So for the cultural Marxists, for the radical extreme in the Democrat Party,
they focus on in doctrination and political messaging. And so when Joe Biden goes to El Paso, it's a photo op. It's a photo op to show, hey, everything's fine. When Joe Biden and she goes to San Francisco, it's a photo op to say hey, everything's fine. And then once the TV cameras leave, the people are stuck with the disastrous failure of the left wing policies.
Yeah, you mentioned Gavin News I'm talking about this cleanup, and he had maybe one of dumbest lines that we've heard. This is what he said about defending the timing of the San Francisco clean up as the governor.

That's true, because it's true. But it's also true for months and months and months prior to APEC we've been having different conversations.

To be clear, Gavin Newsom used to be mayor of San Francisco. This problem he created, He owns this. Now he's got dreams of sixteen hundred Pennsylvania Avenue sparkling in his eyes. So he's realizing, huh, this is kind of a problem. Let's see if we can clean it up. So he kind of likes that that pr but understand it is all pr that that there's no one, as far as I can tell, that's a Democrat politician that actually cares about the quality of life of the residents
of San Francis. That doesn't matter there's a reason that people who live in San Francisco are fleeing the city because it's unbearable and the absolute insult for them to say, yeah, you people who pay taxes here, you're not important enough for us to solve these problems. But when the head of China comes hot, diggity dam, we can fix it overnight.

So it was funny, and this is why I love doing this pod because we get to talk about some of the things that happened during this pod. While we were actually recording. You had to run and make a vote and we had to hit pause, which is just hilarious that you're like, Okay, there's a random vote that the Democrats have called what was it on?
By the way, So it was ten thirty at night, and it was a vote on the Continuing Resolution. So it was the continued Resolution that the House passed that keeps government funded through January. And so we had a vote late at night that we all came down there. We were down in the Senate at eleven thirty at night casting votes.
Now it just I love that aspect of it, but there's also something else. I was going to say that this is the second part of just pulling back the curtain a little bit. So you and I obviously spent a lot of time together, and this goes back to the Gavin News some point you were just making and I'm laughing because I'm doing five News Channel, just a normal interview that I do. I don't I didn't see your schedule and they tell me, they said, hey, you may be a minut or too late.
We have another guest on.
He's going to be on, and I look up and it's you, which was hilarious because I was waiting to talk about this newsome issue in cleaning up to San Francisco, which was just really a funny moment because everybody in the control room was laughing. They're like, all right, it's verdict, and then it's verdict, but they're not together, which was pretty funny.
But one of the things that I said on there.
And by the way, Ben, you're being nice because what you said that the Fox producer told you is the guest in front of you you may be late because the guests in front of you tends to go long. And I don't know that they said it, but what they implied is he's kind of a blow hard and he likes to have or.
He likes to talk a lot.
And yeah, like, hey, the guests we have on before you, sometimes he goes a little long, so you might be about five minutes late. And then I look up on the screen and I'm like, I'm always waiting on this guy. It was a hilarious moment and everybody was laughing.
Look, look, look, Benjamin. Senators are known for our brevity. We're tight, we're pithy, we limit We're like Chinese fortune cookies. We keep it all within one very short sentence.
I love it, I love it, but it was I took a picture of the screen. If you guys want to look, it's on my Instagram and I'm pointing at me in the corner because they say up next, it's my picture in the bottom right, and then you're talking there and it was just I was like, this is what I want to frame in the office.
But by the way, I want I want our Verdict listeners to know. So men saw that, and he texts me and says, I bet I can talk about the podcast more than you do. Now I don't see this until I'm done with the media hit, and is it so happened on the media hit. I was talking about my new book on Woke, so I didn't mention the podcast. I talked about podcast a lot, but I mentioned it zero times. So when I see it, see a text he's on and I finished, I'm like, okay, you win.

And the best part was it was I knew that I was gonna win that one because I had one of the longest Verdict plugs ever.

We were chatting about this on our podcast Verdict would take cruise and even the host Elizabeth, she's so sweet. She's grinning from ear to ear because she gets it. She understands how funny it is. And it was just one of those great moments. But one of the things that we were talking about on there, I was on talking about this exclusive issue about cleaning up San Francisco, and I said.
And I got to say, Ben, this pisses me off. And let me ask you. I don't mean to derail you, but do you think your typical lefty voter in San Francisco has pissed off about this?
I would assume probably not normally, but they may have hit their breaking point, like are you kidding me? We've been living with this, and they've been talking about turning tourism drastically. We saw a man that was cleaning off his front steps, remember, and they turned him in the worst person in the world because he sprayed with water or homeless people they're outside defecating in front of a store,
and it was costing him his business. And so I do think there's a moment where people have had enough, and I think this hypocrisy may resonate with some of the people in San Francisco enough to change leadership, Let's be honest.
Probably not.
Yeah, you were saying, sorry, I just know. I just so. I was literally at dinner with a number of folks in DC and we were debating this question, and one guy who was having dinner with said, well, you know, maybe the lefties are saying, well, gosh, what happened to the homeless people? Where are they now? Are they okay? Are they safe? We need to take care of them more.
Maybe they're worried about that. And I'm like, look, I try to understand the perspective of people who disagree with me, but I have to confess I'm not the best person on earth to really get in the mind of a San Francisco left wing That's just I have it hard. It's hard for me to really grasp how they view this and think it's okay. And so I don't know if when they see it cleaned up they react like, holy crap, why didn't you do this a year ago? If you could do this, why did you allow this
to continue? Or if they just say, well, got I mean one of the things I responded, I said, Look, today's Democrat Party is so command and control they follow orders that maybe the folks there are like, well, no, no, no, this is okay. This made sense for this meeting, But generally speaking, we can't fix it, and this meeting was important. I don't know if they're willing to just be told that by their political overlords.
Well, and the point that I made, I said, for lefties who always love to give themselves these massive hugs of we are the people of compassion and love and understanding. Where's the compassion and the love and the outrage from the left are the fact that you just took home with people and took all their belongings and threw them in the trash and told them find somewhere else to
be homeless. Where is the compassion for those homeless people just because of a communist leader that, by the way, is running concentration camps and slave labor and child labor. You want to clean up a city, so you then treat these homeless people in such an inhumane way because they're in your way. Where is the where's the outrage from the compassionate left? Because I have not seen that so far.
Yeah, I haven't seen any of that at all. And part of it is they don't criticize their own I mean they have message discipline. Whatever the message is of the day, they're all on board with the same thing.
Last question on this I want to ask you, and it deals with the investigation of the Bidens.
You look at the money.
We're getting more information about these checks that are going to the president. And you you see this present bow down as you describe it, kissing the a double ass of this of this Chinese communist leader.
But you look at the house. I'm glad you spelled that for our listeners. They know what it was. You know, we have a lot of elementary school children that listen to this.
Okay, just for you, Senator, just because you had to go vote in the midil the show kissing his ass, there we go.

I'm a team player here, a team player. But you look at this, these checks. Joe Biden resid a forty thousand dollars check and launder Chinese money from the account of his brother James Biden, his sister in law Sarah Biden, in the form of a personal check. We know that because the check number sixty one forty two. We have a copy of it. It was made on September third, twenty seventeen. Of course it said loan reimbursement. That's not the first check, by the way, that's the second check
that has come in. Hunter Biden also wired another one hundred and fifty thousand dollars the Line Hall Group, a company owned by President By's brother James and Cinstine law Sarah on August of twenty eighth of seventeen.
And then guess what happens.
Sarah Biden with drew fifty thousand in cash from the Lion Hall Group and later the same day she deposited it into her and James Biden, James Biden's personal Jake account, and then they write the check to Joe Biden for the quote loan repayment that I mean, we're at over two hundred thousand dollars now. And we also know that the money trail began in July of twenty seventeen when Hunter Biden demanded payment from his Chinese Communist Party. You know, friend,
this associate who's linked there. On July thirtieth, Hunter Biden. Hundreds of thousands of dollars came into their account within days, and the FBI stopped the investigation to see if Joe Biden was, in fact, through GPS, was sitting next to Hunter Biden or in the same place on this date. You put that together and you see what's happening now with China and America. I think James Comber's onto something here, and it seems like there's a lot more that's about to come out on this.
Well, the evidence is getting worse and worse. We now know that at least two hundred and forty thousand dollars went straight to Joe Biden. Remember the Democrats were saying over and over again, no direct evidence of Joe Biden's involvement. This is all Hunter's corrupt. But Joe is innocent. Well, two hundred and forty grand and he labels all these checks loan repayment. There's no evidence as to what the loans were. Was there was there alone That is on
its face, highly suspicious. We also know now that the House that James Comer, the subpoenas have escalated. They're now subpoenaing Hunter Biden. They're subpoenaing James Biden. They're subpoenaing the inner circle of business associates around Joe Biden, among other things. They also issued a subpoena to former White House counsel Dana Remus to appear for a deposition concerning Biden's mishandling
of classified documents. This is ratcheting up, by the way. Also, Special Counsel David Weiss admitted that he wasn't granted special attorney authority in the Hunter Biden investigation, and even though he asked for it. But then he said, well, he didn't interpret that decision as a quote denial in any way, shape or form, which is utterly incoherent. You ask for can I have special attorneys authority? You're told no, and then he says, well, but that wasn't a denial, what
else is it? And so I have to say, I think the investigation is getting more and more serious and the evidence is getting worse and worse for Joe and for Hunter. What a show tonight, Senator.
