Episode description

Corey Costanzo is the Co-Owner of Asheville’s Still Point Wellness Spa, a licensed addiction counselor, trauma specialist, licensed massage therapist, master didgeridoo player, colleague, and my good friend.

In this episode, Corey and I have a conversation about mind reading. Mind reading is a cognitive distortion where individuals believe they can accurately guess or know what others are thinking or feeling without direct communication. In relationships, this often involves making assumptions about a partner's thoughts, feelings, or intentions based on minimal or ambiguous cues. Attunement is different than mind reading, which we elaborate on.
