Dr. Smith is a fellow Alpha Brother who is held in high esteem across the country for his roles in education, servant-leadership, and transformational leadership. He is the immediate past interim president of Harris-Stowe State University in St. Louis, and in a short time is already making a tremendous impact here in the Greater Bridgeport community. Smith has more than 30 years of higher education leadership and teaching experience and was appointed by the Missouri Commissioner of Higher Education to the President's Advisory Council and was named to the U.S. Department of State Fulbright Specialist Program. Dr. Smith discusses systematic oppression and its role in the education system and his story from his humble beginnings to becoming the CEO of HCC!
