Is your life completely yielded to the Lord where you will move through HIs prompting in complex circumstances? (1 Kings 19)
Every great hero of the faith is marked by a relationship with God in which they consistently said yes to the leading of the Holy Spirit, even when their circumstances didn’t seem to align with God’s plan. It is not our own abilities or achievements that qualify us for a spiritual life; rather, our humility and submission to God’s plan are what bring us into all that God has for us.
Deut. 7:6-9 How do you live your life knowing that you are chosen by God.
In Philippians 2:4-11, we read that what Jesus is honored for most in heaven is how he “emptied himself, taking the form of a slave.” In the same way, we also are called to be slaves to the will of God, going wherever he says to go. A life fully submitted to God is the most fruitful and satisfying life that a child of God can live.
God already knows your needs, so how you praying for what is on God’s heart?
Surrendering our lives to Jesus isn’t something that just happens once. As we continue down the path of following God, it’s often good to rededicate our dreams, plans, and lives to the Lord. Today, we recenter our hearts on Jesus and refocus on the biggest priority in our lives: connecting with God and following him wherever he may take us.
In Jesus’ moment of greatest struggle, he went back to the garden of Gethsemane, where he had a habit of praying and hearing from the Father. In the same way, we also should make a habit of withdrawing to a private place and waiting on the Lord, so that we can find strength and deepen our relationship with God.
How we relate to our earthly father colors how we relate to our. heavenly father. Our heavenly father is love which casts out fear.
In the face of real and painful situations in people’s lives, Jesus’ response was not to rationalize or explain or judge but to do the works of the Father. As we seek to follow Jesus’ example, we will sometimes need to lay down our need to understand and just be simple, brave, and obedient to God’s plan on the earth.
The veil has been torn and our normal routines of interaction with God has changed.
It is normal in our world to expect that we have to do something better to qualify ourselves for more blessing and favor from God. Jesus challenges this expectation and instead urges us to take a childlike approach to a wonderful God.
Our battles are spiritual and not in the natural. We wake up and put on the armor of God daily so we can stand against the enemy.
When the Bible says we are “more than conquerers,” this isn’t just an empty statement. The source of our victory is the fact that God loves us, and we can never be separated from his love.
So often, our lives feel very big and full of concerns. In the midst of those concerns, we have an opportunity to worship God by inviting him into our lives and acknowledging that he is bigger than whatever we may be worried about.
Circumstances and challenges can be loud in various seasons of our lives, but God provides us an eternal perspective.
What truly satisfies the depths of your heart? The key to being in step with the Spirit is to feed your Spirit-man so that you are truly satisfied with being in His presence.
After Jesus resurrected from the dead, he didn’t remain on earth for long. Instead, God decided to send you, empowered by the Holy Spirit, to bring the kingdom of God in the same way that Jesus did.
Generations waited for this moment, then a generation missed it. Don’t miss your visitation.
Right now, God is calling his people into a new, life-changing encounter with him. We are empowered by the Holy Spirit to lay down our own defense mechanisms and enter into a new experience of trusting him and knowing his presence.
The greatest mystery is his desire toward all of us. All that we are is from him, and it is his joy to receive the sacrifice of our lives.
We are the temple that hosts his presence, but how do we access that daily?
The path to God’s promises requires obedience. Obedience is a funny thing.
We are called to be conformed into the image of Jesus: full of hope, full of love, and victorious. An exhortation to stop waiting and step into this calling today.
When we repent of victim mindsets and take hold of our inheritance in Christ, we receive the authority and power of God to break bondage in our lives.
Those who behold the face of the lord will have eyes filled with beauty.
Firstfruits are God’s simple test of trust.
Phillippians 4:6
The kingdom is only experienced in the new life of God’s Spirit.
There is no lack of opportunities to be pulled from the overarching truth of creation that God is Good. It is joy that anchors us in this truth.
What qualifies us to carry the kingdom of God? Consider the greatest hits of Peter's short time with Jesus.
