BFI Podcastrss.com

We are Candace, Kewe, and Kishana.

BFI is a passion project that was birthed from our group chat in 2022 and an idea that was launched from not hearing many voices like our own in certain platforms. Our purpose for putting this together is to discuss topics relative to those who are black, female, and immigrant including, but not limited to, cultures and traditions, food, careers, education, dating, religion, mental health, colorism versus racism, and intersectionality. We have so many things to say about so much!

Our hope is that our voices will encourage open dialogues that are often times tough to navigate in a world where social media experts are plenty and emotions run far too high when we see words that trigger a fight of flight sensation within us.

With these conversations we are offering, we are hoping to encourage more buy-in from our communities about issues that effect our quality of life. When we plant the seed of safe spaces that are meant to foster open communication, a community of folks who are alike in experiences but not necessarily in thought, we can only hope to grow exponentially.
